Welcome to Mowbray Lodge No.5373

We are a diverse Lodge with members from all walks of life and all ages. The breadth of youth, experience and cultures makes for a vibrant, fulfilling, and happy experience. We have a strong core of Senior Past Masters and senior members who proactively support our newer members who are keen to learn. We pride ourselves on quality to make for an interesting and fulfilling evening.

We have been members of the Universities Scheme since 2008, opening Freemasonry to Sunderland University, and we have had interest from students, staff, and alumni since then. Former students and staff have now become senior members within the Lodge. Our membership does not however, only come from the Universities Scheme and we welcome all enquiries.

You will find us committed to ensuring that the membership can develop as Masons, in whatever way you choose.

When we meet : First Wednesday, Feb-May & Oct-Dec

Mowbray Lodge - Installation Celebration

Strong roots build strong trees

Last Wednesday was a truly memorable night as we proudly installed W Bro Martin Lawson as our Worshipful Master. It was a wonderful evening filled with camaraderie, tradition, and celebration. We were thrilled to welcome around 70 esteemed guests who joined us to honor this special occasion. Very special ones indeed including the representatives of the Prov. Grand Master, W.Bro Michael Graham, PAGDC, PPGSwdB, accompanied by his DC W.Bro Paul Staines PPGStwd. Our newly honorary member Bro Roy Norman Neville, PJGD, PProvGReg was also a special guest and he throughly enjoyed his night.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the company was exceptional, and the food – simply delicious! A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the night even more special. Here’s to our new Worshipful Master and the journey ahead!
